Dr. Shirley Yanai

Dr. Shirley Yanai is a specialist in internal medicine and palliative medicine, leading a supportive and palliative care unit in the Tel Aviv-Yafo district and serving as a senior physician in the supportive care unit at Rabin Medical Center.

Her clinical approach is integrative, holistic, and multidisciplinary, with expertise in relieving and balancing complex symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, nausea, anxiety, and sleep disturbance.

Dr. Yanai believes in accessible, professional, and empathetic care that helps patients move through complex illness in their natural environment, with reduced suffering and full support for family members.

She also leads the ALS clinic at Beilinson Hospital, leads a supportive care clinic for non-oncology patients at the Beilinson pulmonary institute, and lectures in medical education at the Weizmann Institute.

In her work with patients and families, Dana brings practical nursing experience in guidance, identifying changing needs, coordinating care, and providing continuity around symptom burden and clinical changes.
